Another attractive commission model are two tier partnerships or second level affiliate programs. You earn top line commissions but everyone who signs up to the two tier affiliate program using your affiliate code or any other means of referral code will earn you another set of commission, mostly lower but you wouldn't have to work for this money, someone else does. As an example: your base commission with a two tier affiliate grants you 30% per sale. Other online marketers referred by you if sales are generated earn you 10% on top. So, while other online advertisers work hard to make that sale, they work for your bottom line as well. Being an active online web publisher and advertiser who picks affiliate partnerships quite actively, chances are you are already part of a two level affiliate network one way or the other, most likely without knowing. For example: company abc produces and sells fashion handbags. Signing up with their two level partnership program makes you an affiliate in a two tier affiliate program. For every sale that you generate company abc pays a commission of 30%. Advertiser xyz finds your web site, clicks through to company abc and signs up with their two level partnership program. Advertiser xyz will be recorded as a REFERRAL coming from you. Company abc now pays another 10% to you for every sale realized by advertiser xyz, while advertiser xyz earns 30% as well for their sale. They might not even realize to be part of this model as they do not earn less, the 10% are paid as an additional fee by company abc. In a two tier affiliate program there are exactly two levels considered for two level affiliate commission payout. There are companies that pay 40% or so for top level signup's and then another 25% or less for the lower partnership level. Every partner underneath you is a top level advertiser for themselves and can build their own base pool of two level partners.
